This continuation of the story follows the journey of Prince Chukwudi as he returns home to confront his brother, King Dyke, with the help of their dead brother Ibuka’s ghost. Chukwudi receives instructions from the ghost to weaken Dyke’s powers by slipping magic seeds into the king’s wine during his wedding. However, the plan fails when Obiora, Dyke's ally, exposes Chukwudi’s attempt. Chukwudi is sentenced to death but is spared by the intervention of a violent storm that kills many villagers, including Mr. Okoro. Despite surviving the hanging attempt, Chukwudi witnesses Dyke’s increasing confidence, as Dyke believes his newfound powers make him invincible.
Chukwudi's persistence, combined with Ibuka's ghost, eventually leads to Dyke’s defeat. During a victory celebration, Chukwudi’s friend Nedu secretly drops one of the magical seeds into Dyke’s wine, draining his powers. Ibuka’s ghost confronts Dyke once more, leading to a final battle where Dyke confesses to his crimes. Ultimately, Dyke is defeated and killed, while Chukwudi is brought back to life by his brother’s ghost.
Chukwudi becomes the new king, restoring peace and justice to the kingdom of Umao. He rebuilds the village alongside his loyal friend Nedu and his new wife, Uchi. The story concludes with the joyous birth of Chukwudi’s son, symbolizing a bright future for the kingdom, now led by a just and loving king.
