Arin's voice trembled with emotion as he expressed his disappointment. "I've been there for you and my family has accepted you, despite your condition. Is this how you'll repay me? I can't believe you're letting me down again."
Adan, feeling guilty but firm in her decision, tried to explain. "I know you've supported me, Arin, but it's difficult. I'm royalty, and I have to marry someone of the same status to honor my family's legacy. Please try to understand," she pleaded. "The prince has promised to bless you and give a large sum of money to you and your family. He'll build a big house with guards and servants. I thought that would be a good reward for everything you've done for me."
But Arin was unmoved. He shook his head firmly. "I helped you because I love you, Adan. I didn't do it expecting anything in return, and I won't accept the prince's offer. I don't care about his money, and I don't need it."
His refusal hung heavily in the air. Adan had hoped he would understand her decision, but as she sighed sadly, she realized that Arin's love and loyalty couldn't be swayed by material rewards. Her heart grew heavy as she prepared to say goodbye to the kind man who had loved her selflessly, knowing it would be one of the hardest things she had ever done.
