In the village of Umaga, the Okono family consists of Mr. and Mrs. Okono, and their three children: Nira, Kiruka, and Akin. Mr. Okono is a well-known builder, while Mrs. Okono stays home and socializes with neighbors. Despite their modest means, the family manages to make ends meet and remains hopeful for a better future due to their children’s academic success. However, Nira, the eldest daughter, struggles in school and has to repeat classes, which causes her to fall behind her younger siblings.
