Richie, the son of a wealthy businessman, feels isolated and longs for genuine friendships with kids his age. He is constantly under the supervision of Alfred, his loyal bodyguard, due to recent threats, including a bomb scare at their home. Richie’s father, concerned for their safety, limits Richie’s freedom, even refusing to let him play at the local park.
One day, Richie befriends some kids at an arcade and invites them to his house, but they decline, suspecting he only wants to flaunt his wealth. Meanwhile, Richie’s father disappears after leaving for a business trip, and Pierre, his father’s colleague, takes over the company. Pierre immediately starts making harmful changes, like shutting down the youth center that Richie’s father supports. Richie becomes suspicious of Pierre’s motives.
Eventually, Alfred is framed for Richie’s father’s disappearance and the bomb threat. However, Richie uncovers that Pierre is the true culprit, using clues his father left behind. With Alfred's help, Richie rescues his father from the youth center, where Pierre had been holding him captive. In the end, Pierre is arrested, and Richie learns the importance of trust and responsibility. He also gains the respect of his peers, finally forming genuine friendships.
