The story follows Mia, a young woman who is diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare condition that causes her to lose her hearing. Mia has been passionate about music all her life, and the diagnosis shatters her dream of becoming a professional singer. Her family is devastated, but they try to support her as she navigates the reality of going deaf.
Despite her setbacks, Mia's father finds a way for her to use technology, a visual tuner, to continue singing without needing to hear the music. With encouragement from her parents, Mia decides to audition for "America's Got Talent." Overcoming the odds, she performs an original song, impressing both the judges and the audience, earning the golden buzzer that advances her to the next round.
Mia progresses all the way to the finals of the competition but finishes in fourth place. Rather than feeling disappointed, she is overjoyed by the experience of performing in front of millions of people. After the show, she is approached by a record label representative who offers her a record deal, showing that her journey as a musician is far from over.
Mia's story is one of perseverance, self-discovery, and embracing her passion, regardless of the obstacles in her way.
