A young woman named Jade is visited by two people claiming to be her long-lost parents who had abandoned her when she was a child. They tell her a story about losing everything in a fire and needing money for her father's eye surgery. Jade, initially believing them, agrees to help, but her adoptive mother is suspicious. Eventually, it’s revealed that the couple are con artists, and the man is not even blind. Confronted by Jade, they admit they abandoned her because they didn't want her.
