In a post-apocalyptic world set in 2063, rising sea levels have submerged most of the Earth, leaving only two continents at war over resources. A military outpost called The Sentinel, located in the ocean between these continents, is manned by four soldiers: Sergeant Hendrichs, Corporal Cassidy, Private Baines, and Private Sullivan. Their mission is to guard a nuclear bomb, a crucial asset for their continent, but their tenure has exceeded the two-year contract by three months due to delays in the relief crew’s arrival.

Tensions rise among the soldiers as food supplies dwindle. During a stormy night, Cassidy and Sullivan go fishing and catch a significant amount of fish. Meanwhile, Hendrichs orders Baines to secure the nuclear bomb as a violent storm approaches. Baines struggles but manages to fix a damaged pipeline, while the storm disrupts their fishing efforts and floods the outpost.

After the storm, the soldiers regroup and discuss ways to reduce their food consumption to manage their dwindling supplies.
