The story follows American chef Ryan Mosley, who arrives in Colombia to escape his gambling debts. He is in serious financial trouble and seeks refuge with his friend Jack, whom he hasn't seen in 12 years. After landing in Colombia, a butler picks Ryan up and gives him a note from Jack, explaining that Jack is currently out but has provided the house code for entry. Ryan is taken to a luxurious villa in the middle of the forest, where he makes himself at home, preparing a meal and enjoying the view.
