The movie begins with scientists injecting a substance into a spider at a lab, which is then shipped to a NASA mission involving space experiments. Marci Eyre, a young scientific reporter, encounters a UFO-obsessed couple who claim to be aliens from Mars. When the couple reacts fearfully to a photo of a secret military facility, Marci suspects something is amiss. Her editor dismisses the couple’s story and assigns her to cover the spacecraft launch, but Marci decides to investigate the secret facility instead.
