The story begins with a woman fleeing through the woods, carrying a baby in a bag. She jumps off a cliff, followed by the baby, both meeting tragic ends.

Cut to Natasha, a free-spirited woman, who has a poker night with her friends Mags and Rita. She upsets them with her insensitive comments about babies, leading to both friends leaving in anger. Natasha decides to take a vacation and stays at a remote cabin by the sea.
