Summary:

Set 45,000 years ago, when early humans were first spreading through Europe, the story follows a small group of prehistoric humans. They rely solely on hunting and face harsh conditions in their quest for survival.

Inside a cave, the group is led by Adem, a strong alpha male, and includes his brother Geirr, his son Heron, the elderly and grumpy Odal, Adem's pregnant partner Ave, and a young woman named Beyah who recently joined them. While Beyah initially received equal treatment, she now bears most of the workload, though Geirr is kind to her, possibly due to his affection for her.
