Salia is a cheerful and optimistic young man working part-time at a local restaurant. As the eldest son in a German-Sinhalese family, he believes that happiness is found in the journey, not just the destination. He has a passion for cooking and delights his family by replicating restaurant dishes at home. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he starts losing his vision. A doctor diagnoses him with a rare genetic disease and recommends immediate eye surgery. The surgery preserves a small fraction of his vision, about five percent of normal, but Salia remains determined to pursue his dream of a career in hotel management. Despite his father's reluctance to support his education due to his vision impairment, Salia's mother helps him continue his studies, and he remains steadfast in his aspirations.
