Jane, a retail professional with extensive experience in fashion, interviews for a job at a high-end clothing store. Despite her qualifications, the interviewer, Louis, dismisses her based on age, arguing that their brand targets a younger demographic. Jane counters that inclusivity and experience can enhance the brand, but Louis remains firm, stating it's about image and aspiration.
Later, Jane assists a young customer, Lily, in finding an outfit for an interview. Louis confronts Jane, accusing Lily of being unable to afford the store's expensive suit. Jane defends Lily, offering to buy the suit for her. When Louis continues his disrespectful behavior, Jane reveals her true identity as Jane Everett, the CEO of the brand. She went undercover to assess staff treatment of customers and potential employees.
Jane highlights Louis' unprofessional conduct and his disregard for the company's values of inclusivity. Despite his pleas, she fires him for his prejudiced and disrespectful behavior. Jane then turns her attention back to helping Lily prepare for her interview.
