In the story, Lisa hires a hitman to kill her husband, Thomas, so she can collect a life insurance payout and be with her lover, Mark. The hitman, however, turns out to be an undercover cop. When Thomas learns of Lisa's plan, he collaborates with the police to set a trap. They stage Thomas's "murder" to catch Lisa in the act.
