Two inexperienced robbers, Dixie and Johanna, attempt to break into a rich neighborhood home. As they debate over how to approach the robbery, they notice a man leaving with a suitcase, assuming it's a perfect target. Despite Johanna’s cautiousness, Dixie insists on their plan, but things go wrong when a neighbor catches them pretending to fumigate the house. They convince her with a ridiculous story about termites and rain. As they break into the house, another thief, the actual homeowner, reveals she's been onto them the whole time. She had seen them scoping out the house, moved their car, and decided to play along to stop them. In the end, she lets them go with a warning, offering them a second chance, and Dixie, realizing the futility of their lifestyle, agrees to quit robbing houses.
