In this holiday drama, Stacy is struggling with her mother, who has started dating Adam, a younger man from Stacy's high school. Stacy feels betrayed and confused, especially since her father passed away less than a year ago. Despite her initial resistance, she reluctantly agrees to give Adam a chance, wanting her mother to be happy. However, during dinner, Stacy confronts Adam about his intentions, suspecting he may be after her mother’s money. 

After a tense exchange, Stacy realizes Adam genuinely cares for her mother. Following some misunderstandings and a bit too much drinking, the family begins to find common ground. Ultimately, they decide to focus on love and family during Christmas, accepting that happiness can come in unexpected forms, even if it feels complicated.
