In this scene, Tom is excited but nervous about a "study date" with Hannah, who seems to have other intentions. A tense confrontation ensues, where Jerry insists on calling the police, leading to Hannah's increasingly erratic behavior. The situation escalates until Tom finally manages to escape, and he reflects on how someone who seemed normal can turn out to be dangerous. He vows to only study in trusted groups moving forward, recognizing the risks of seemingly innocent situations.
