In this darkly comedic scene, Mary goes on a date with Chad, who reveals a bizarre collection of human teeth he received from his dentist cousin. As the evening progresses, Mary grows increasingly uncomfortable with Chad's strange interests and macabre conversation, including his fascination with killing animals. 

Panicking, she calls her friend Gwen, convinced Chad is a serial killer. Gwen instructs her to stall and send her the address, while Mary pretends to be sick. However, Chad misinterprets her distress and offers her a cheese plate and an invitation to see his carpentry collection in the basement.

When Mary’s fear escalates, she calls the police, believing she is in imminent danger. The officers arrive and arrest Chad, only to uncover the misunderstanding: Chad isn’t a killer but a quirky guy with unusual hobbies. The officer admonishes both for their miscommunication and past baggage in relationships, insisting they apologize to each other. 

After a humorous exchange, they agree to a second date, both realizing that their initial impressions were wildly off-base. The scene ends with the officer leaving, highlighting the absurdity of the situation and the characters’ newfound understanding of each other.
