**Summary of the Story:**

The film opens with Sarah and Linda exploring Sarah’s late mother’s belongings, discovering a polaroid camera. Sarah takes a provocative photo but is unnerved when a shadowy figure appears in the developed image. After hearing strange noises, she investigates the attic, where she meets a horrific fate.

The narrative shifts to Bird Fitcher, a shy girl with a neck scar, who receives a vintage polaroid camera from her coworker Tyler. After taking photos, Bird notices a dark shadow in one of them. At a costume party, she learns of Tyler's death, and the shadow moves to another photo. As more friends die under mysterious circumstances linked to the camera, Bird realizes it causes death to anyone photographed.

Desperate, Bird and her friends research the camera's origins and discover it belonged to a teacher, Roland Joseph Sable, who sought revenge for his daughter Rebecca, bullied into suicide. The entity linked to the camera begins targeting them.

As the friends face the growing threat, they try to unravel the connection to Roland's tragic story. In a climactic confrontation, Bird manages to destroy the entity by capturing its image and setting it ablaze. The film concludes with Bird discarding the cursed camera into the ocean, hoping to end the cycle of violence.
