Set after the events of the first film, the sequel reveals that the survivors of the previous **Battle Royale** have formed a rebel group called the **Wild Seven**, led by **Shuya Nanahara**. This group is now labeled an international terrorist organization. In response, the government enacts the **Millennium Anti-Terrorism Act**, also known as **Battle Royale II**. The scene shifts to **Shikanotoride Middle School**, characterized as a chaotic mix of delinquents and outcasts from across the country. The students are caught in the crosshairs of the government's new, deadly game.
