The opening scene narrates the disappearance of God 25 years prior, leading the angels to blame humanity. In response, the Archangel Gabriel declares war on Earth, aiming to eradicate the human race. While most higher angels refuse to join the conflict, the lower angels, known as "8-ball," side with Gabriel. Fortunately, the Archangel Michael allies with humans, thwarting their extinction. News spreads of Michael saving a newborn baby destined to be humanity's protector. Now, Michael resides among humans in Vega, the fortified remnants of Las Vegas.
