The story opens with Nikita, a nihilistic teenage addict immersed in a lifestyle of anarchy, drugs, and violence. One night, she joins a local gang to rob a pharmacy. While the gang searches for drugs, Nikita hides under a counter, listening to music on her headphones.

Suddenly, the police arrive, leading to a chaotic shootout that results in the deaths of all her accomplices. When one officer kneels to check on her, thinking she poses no threat, Nikita, in the throes of severe drug withdrawal, unexpectedly shoots him in the head, showcasing her desperation and volatility.
