Berei, a medical college professor, is a strong-willed woman who rejects favoritism in her classroom, refusing to give special treatment to students from wealthy families. She once slapped a student in class and again in the principal's office, displaying her no-nonsense attitude. A force of nature, she has sent both of her sons to serve on the Kashmir-Indian border—one became a martyr, while the other serves as an army captain. Berei is also raising two daughters, one who is soon to be married and the other, an adopted child. Her elder son's wife lives with her, continuing to be part of the family. When a vulgar man insults her home and the way she raised her children, Berei proudly defends her family, stating that they are soldiers. As her daughter's wedding approaches, she needs to contact her son, Major AJ Krishna, who is stationed at a special forces camp near the border, guarding the nation.
