Kyle LeBlanc is on the phone with his wife, Gray, who is upset about his long hours at work. They've relocated from Louisiana to Magnitogorsk, Russia, for his job, leaving her feeling isolated and alone. While Kyle drives home during a heavy storm, the power goes out, and Gray notices a stranger standing outside their window. As she searches for a flashlight, the call is interrupted, but they soon resume discussing plans for a vacation to rekindle their romance. Suddenly, Gray is attacked by the intruder in her kitchen. Kyle hears her screams and, panicked, hangs up to call the police. However, his limited Russian makes it difficult for the dispatcher to understand him. As the intruder holds Gray down and threatens her with a knife, Kyle drives dangerously in a desperate attempt to reach her in time.
