The story opens with a massive carriage arriving at a secure prison, from which a gigantic troll prisoner is released and placed in a cell with two humans, Edun and Hulga. Edun greets the troll, but when the troll makes a threatening remark towards Hulga, she swiftly retaliates by breaking his knees and knocking him out.
