Three years after a traumatic encounter with four neo-Nazis that resulted in her father’s death, 16-year-old Becky is struggling to survive on her own, having bounced through several foster homes. She arrives at the home of her new foster parents, Ted and Alice Gibbs, who welcome her and her loyal dog, Diego, treating them as family. However, Becky plays along with their kindness until night falls. When Alice offers her support, Becky decides to escape once more.
