In the early 1980s, scientists in Antarctica discover a mysterious signal and chase it to a crashed alien spaceship buried in the ice. Paleontologist Kate is recruited to investigate, but things take a dark turn when the alien, trapped in ice, is accidentally released, leading to a series of gruesome attacks on the team.
