In Ancient China, Emperor Khan's daughter Turandot falls and cries over a hole in the carpet symbolizing a kingdom, Malvia. Khan sends General Boyan to establish relations. In Malvia, the royal family wears magic bracelets, each with unique powers. Prince Calaf, trained in Chinese fighting, faces an attack from Boyan’s army. Boyan wins, finding the bracelets among the royal bodies. Turandot, trying on the bracelets, activates a curse, causing pain and inability to remove them.
