Emily wakes up in a hotel room next to a dead body. Unfazed, she calmly examines a knife wound on her abdomen, takes care of the body by chopping it up, burning the pieces, and hiding the ashes. She then goes back to town, where her boyfriend James confronts her for being missing. In a desperate attempt to avoid trouble with the police, Emily kills James with a corkscrew and hides his body in the basement.
