Archaeology professor Hopper and his dog search for missing hippies in remote Texas. They discover an abandoned van with a journal detailing local legends. Hopper investigates a deep hole and a cave where he encounters a mysterious cowboy. He prepares to explore further with a climbing kit but goes missing. Concerned students Jackie and Taylor set out to find him.
