In the future, Earth is facing a crisis caused by climate change, deforestation, and a nuclear war, resulting in crumbling cities, power and food shortages, and a lack of oxygen by 2067. Australia is one of the few cities still standing due to synthetic oxygen, but it causes illness known as "The Sickness". Ethan works as a utility worker to maintain the city's oxygen source. Unrest grows as people protest for equal access to oxygen while deaths from "The Sickness" increase.
