Following Mason's betrayal, Chloe encounters an attractive man at the bar and attempts to allure him. Right before reaching their destination, Chloe identifies the man she kissed as Ethan Foster, a prominent attorney in the city, a billionaire, and the brother-in-law of her former partner. Chloe leaves the bar and receives a phone call: Mason has falsely accused her father and he has been arrested. Mason informs Chloe that Ethan is the only one who would have the courage to accept this case.
