Despite being a key employee at Clark Corp, Jim Lane is erroneously terminated by Lisa Clark, the CEO's daughter, who has recently returned from abroad. As anticipated, the company quickly starts to deteriorate in his absence. Tim Lane takes advantage of the situation to appropriate Jim's research findings in order to gain closer access to Lisa. Amidst this turmoil, Jim's former college crush, Maya Fox, reaches out to him and offers her assistance in managing the crisis.
