In 2048, Earth is overpopulated and resource-depleted. The government genetically modifies fourteen soldiers to colonize Titan, Saturn's moon. Among them is former pilot Rick, his wife Abigail, a doctor, and their son Lucas. Dr. Collingwood, head of the program, believes in Rick's resilience. While Rick and Abigail are concerned about potential health issues, Collingwood assures them of proper care. The volunteers, now settled in luxurious homes, start treatment for their mission. Collingwood emphasizes Titan as Earth's next hope due to its sustainability for a new civilization.
