Dr. Martin falls in love with his patient, Diane, and tampers with her medication to keep her hospitalized for a longer period. As Diane's condition worsens, Martin becomes overjoyed caring for her. However, his actions lead to Diane developing sepsis and ultimately, her demise. Martin's obsession with Diane culminates in him kissing her while she is under anesthesia, displaying his unethical behavior as a doctor.
