In November 9, 1951, British explorers Eric Shipton and Michael Ward discovered unusual footprints on Mount Everest's Khumbu Glacier at 18,000 feet. The footprints resembled large human feet, suggesting a large primate species adapted to a terrestrial environment. This discovery hinted at the existence of a bipedal creature with unique characteristics distinct from other great apes.
