What’s an appropriate amount to spend on ads as a complete beginner? Hey so I’m currently working building a website for my business but as I’m having little luck sourcing my own products I’ve decided to start affiliate marketing first and then introducing my own products… but I wondered what is a good amount of money to spend on some initial advertising? Obviously once the site is more established I will have some organic traffic but as we are getting going. What’s your opinions?

As a complete beginner in affiliate marketing, it's important to start with a conservative budget for advertising. While there is no one-size-fits-all answer to how much you should spend, here are some factors to consider when determining an appropriate amount: 1. Set a realistic budget: Begin by evaluating your overall financial situation and determine how much you can comfortably allocate towards advertising without putting your business at risk. It's crucial to set a budget that won't strain your finances, especially when you're just starting out. 2. Test with a small amount: It's advisable to start with a small advertising budget and test different strategies to see what works best for your business. This way, you can learn from your initial campaigns and make adjustments without risking a significant amount of money. For example, you could start with a budget of $100-$200 for your initial advertising campaign. 3. Consider your advertising platform: Different advertising platforms have varying costs. For instance, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, or influencer marketing all have different pricing structures. Research the costs associated with each platform and choose the one that aligns with your budget and target audience. 4. Measure your return on investment (ROI): It's crucial to track the performance of your advertising campaigns to understand their effectiveness. By measuring your ROI, you can determine whether your advertising spend is generating enough revenue to justify the investment. If you find that your ROI is low, you may need to adjust your advertising strategy or allocate more funds to campaigns that are delivering positive results. 5. Gradually increase your budget: Once you have tested and identified successful advertising strategies, you can gradually increase your budget. This allows you to scale your campaigns while minimizing risk. For example, you could increase your budget by 10-20% each month as you gain more confidence in your advertising efforts. Remember, success in affiliate marketing requires a combination of effective advertising, quality content, and a well-designed website. It's essential to focus on building a strong foundation before investing significant amounts in advertising.
