Michael Pacquiao, in a recent interview on Julius Babao's *UNPLUGGED*, opened up about his journey of living independently and stepping out of the shadow of his famous father, Manny Pacquiao. Despite coming from a wealthy family, Michael shared that money did not protect him from challenges like bullying and mental health struggles, particularly depression. He emphasized that wealth is not fulfilling, and the temporary joy from material things does not solve deeper emotional issues. Michael revealed that he was bullied for his appearance and family name, and this led to a period where he contemplated self-harm.
However, with the support of his family, particularly his father, who comforted him through prayer, Michael found ways to cope. He turned to music, exercise, and boxing to channel his emotions and regain a sense of purpose. In the interview, he stressed the importance of talking to someone and not letting negative feelings dictate actions. Michael has since embraced a simpler, more meaningful lifestyle, valuing time with friends and focusing on his passion for music and faith.
