Jelson, known for his roles in *Finding Agnes* and *Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap*, shared that during the filming of his Netflix projects, he had started feeling unusually fatigued. Despite advice to rest, he pushed through, which led to a serious stroke upon his return to the Philippines.

Vic Sotto, whom Jelson had worked with on the GMA show *Daddy's Girl*, stepped in to assist with medical expenses, which were overwhelming for Jelson. Vic and his wife Pauleen Luna even visited him during his recovery. Jelson expressed deep gratitude, emphasizing that without Vic's help, his situation could have been far worse.
