The movie opens with the female lead, Gru, ecstatic on her graduation day as she finally gets her crush Chi Zen's phone number. However, other students sabotage her by throwing away the paper with his number. Determined, Gru enrolls in the same university as Chi Zen. On her first day, a reporter questions her choice, making her nervous as she followed Chi Zen there. Just then, she sees Chi Zen and her world stops as memories of their first meeting flood back. She recalls how he helped her escape punishment for being late to school.
