A young racer recently released from prison seeks help from his estranged father to navigate the dangerous world of racing in order to reclaim his life. After getting out of prison, Wes jumps back into racing but runs into his father, Dean, who initially rebuffs him. Despite tensions, Dean offers to help Wes by giving his bike a tune-up. Wes agrees, but their partnership is on thin ice as Dean warns him to race responsibly or risk losing their collaboration. The next day, their journey to the track begins, with Wes needing to prove his discipline to keep the partnership alive.
