During WW II, the Pevensie children are led to a shelter as London is under attack. Edmund risks his safety to get a picture of their father. The children are evacuated to the countryside, where they meet a fawn named Tumnus in a magical realm called Narnia. Tumnus invites Lucy to his home for tea, where they bond over stories of Christmas. The siblings explore their new house and play hide-and-seek. Lucy discovers a wardrobe that leads to Narnia, where she meets Tumnus. Despite their initial wariness, they form a strong bond as they explore the magical world together.
