The movie begins with Miso, a middle-aged woman, visiting an art gallery where a portrait of her is displayed. An employee informs her that they found her through the artist's paintings and mentions that Miso's best friend, Haun, used to write a blog. Miso abruptly leaves, and while heading towards the elevator, she encounters Jin Wu, Haun's ex-boyfriend. Back at her house, Miso searches for Haun's blogs online and reminisces about their friendship. The scene transitions to 1998, showing their first meeting when Miso transferred schools and Haun returned her lost school bag. Their friendship grows, despite Miso's troubled past and dreams of moving to Seoul. In high school, Miso pursues art while Haun studies education. They remain close, escaping classes to spend time together.
