The opening scene introduces Reinhao Ming, a blind man who is the general manager of the Ren Group and the Chairman's eldest son. He was forced by his father to marry Ruan Chintyon, the daughter of their rival company. Chintyon's stepmother also forced her to marry Humming, threatening her hospitalized father. During the engagement party, Ming struggles with his blindness while exchanging rings with Chintyon, leading to a mishap that is quickly resolved. After the event, Chintyon is reminded of the agreement she signed, making her essentially Ming's servant with a penalty of 50 million won for violating his commands.
