How to maintain sales after a successful launch? - So I had a pretty successful opening 2 months for my small business, and nearing the end of the 3rd month, I’ve only made half of my sales compared to my previous monthly period(s). I’m down to 0-2 sales/day. I feel like the hype around my product is waning and it’s getting harder to go viral on TikTok… is a after-launch slump normal? And any marketing strategies/ideas on how to maintain sale numbers? I’ve stayed regular on the socials, Facebook ads cost more than they were worth on my first try (maybe I should try again?) and haven’t tried Google ads. I have other products getting ready to go to production and have a few freebies I want to give out. Thanks in advanced for the help☺️

Experiencing a decline in sales after a successful launch is not uncommon and can be attributed to various factors. Here are some strategies to help maintain sales and overcome the after-launch slump:

  1. Analyze your data: Look closely at your sales data to identify any patterns or trends that may explain the decline. Are there any specific products or customer segments that are underperforming? Understanding the reasons behind the slump will help you develop targeted strategies.

  2. Customer feedback and satisfaction: Reach out to your customers and ask for feedback on your products and their experience. This will help you identify any areas for improvement and address any concerns or issues they may have. Satisfied customers are more likely to become repeat buyers and refer others to your business.

  3. Retargeting and remarketing: Use retargeting techniques to reach out to customers who have previously interacted with your brand but haven't made a purchase. This can be done through social media platforms or email marketing. Offer personalized discounts or incentives to encourage them to make a purchase.

  4. Expand your marketing efforts: While you have been active on social media, consider exploring other marketing channels such as Google ads, influencer collaborations, or content marketing. Each channel has its own unique reach and audience, so diversifying your marketing efforts can help you reach a wider customer base.

  5. Collaborate with influencers: Identify influencers or bloggers in your niche who have a significant following and engage with them to promote your products. This can help you tap into their audience and generate new sales leads.

  6. Launch new products or variations: Introduce new products or variations to your existing product line. This can reignite interest in your brand and encourage existing customers to make repeat purchases.

  7. Offer loyalty programs and incentives: Implement a loyalty program to reward repeat customers and encourage them to continue purchasing from your business. Additionally, offer incentives such as discounts or freebies to attract new customers and create a sense of urgency.

  8. Engage with your audience: Continue to actively engage with your audience on social media platforms by responding to comments, addressing queries, and sharing valuable content. Building a strong online community can lead to increased brand loyalty and word-of-mouth referrals.

  9. Collaborate with complementary businesses: Identify businesses in your industry that offer complementary products or services and explore collaboration opportunities. This can help you tap into their customer base and create mutually beneficial partnerships.

  10. Monitor and adapt: Continuously monitor your sales performance and marketing efforts. Analyze the effectiveness of different strategies and make necessary adjustments based on the data. Stay agile and adapt your approach to meet the evolving needs and preferences of your target audience.

Remember, maintaining sales requires ongoing effort and adaptability. By implementing these strategies and staying proactive, you can overcome the after-launch slump and continue to grow your business.
