The opening scene introduces Sayaka Kono, a middle-class girl who feels unlucky and alone in life. Her father has died, her mother has remarried happily, and she lacks friends. Sayaka, a real estate agent, struggles at work due to carelessness and relies on fast food. One night, she dreams of a man collapsing outside her home. The next morning, she is surprised to find the same man cooking breakfast in her kitchen, realizing that her dream was real. Sayaka is overjoyed to have him around.
