The scene opens in Northern Taiwan with friends playing basketball. It starts raining, and they seek shelter except for Alan, who is struck by lightning and dies. Alan finds himself in the Underworld, where an angel gives him a disc of his past lives. He can choose his next life based on credits earned in his previous lives. Meanwhile, Mei, a math teacher, is dealing with her dog's tumor.
