The story takes place in a dark forest at night, where four women discover multiple dead deer with their hearts removed. One of the women, Tabbe, takes out a deer's still-beating heart. They sense impending danger. At a castle, a pregnant woman accuses two women of witchcraft when the baby is born sick. Witch Hunters target one woman. Natalia and her granddaughter try to prove her innocence but fail. Petro discovers the baby died naturally, not due to witchcraft, yet the crowd demands Natalia's death. As she is burned alive, the four women from the forest chant a Latin spell.
