At the start of the episode, a mysterious guy leaves prison, enters a bar, steals a car, and visits his friend in Manhattan. The friend, Job, helps him find a woman named Carrie. After a narrow escape from a mobster, he arrives in Banshee, Pennsylvania, where he meets a former fighter bartender named Sugar Bates. Later, a new Sheriff, Lucas Hood, joins them and gets involved in a bar robbery. The main guy tries to settle it peacefully, but ends up killing the thugs. Pretending to be the Sheriff, he takes on Lucas's identity and meets Carrie, revealing their past as robbers working for a gangster named Rabbit.
