The movie revolves around a young prodigy named Vitus, with exceptional skills in piano and mathematics. His mother, Helen, pushes him to excel in music, while his father, Leo, is preoccupied with work. Despite Vitus' genius, he struggles to fit in with his peers. After Leo's career success, Helen promises Vitus a private babysitter, leading to increased feelings of isolation for the young boy. Only his grandfather provides Vitus with the freedom and support he craves.
